List Your Event

This service is open to all Christian organisations listed in Find a Church, and those from outside the area that otherwise meet the criteria for this. Other organisations arranging an event that Christians may be interested in are also welcome to submit details.

We currently list events in the following categories. If one doesn't appear in the list at present it is because there are currently no events listed in it. You may indicate up to two categories you think your event is suited to.

• Elections: Engage with the issues at election time
• Seekers and Enquirers: Find out more about the Faith
• New Christians: Just become a Christian? Find out more
• Hope Together: Part of the national Hope Together initiative
• Holiday Clubs: Activities for children during the school break
• Primary and Pre-school Children: For primary school children and/or pre-school
• Teens and Secondary Children: For secondary school children and/or teenagers
• Young Adults: For late teens and/or 20's
• Families: Something for the whole family - young and old!
• Men: Specifically for men
• Women: Specifically for women
• Prayer: Prayer and intercession
• Outreach: Making the Good News known to others
• Worship: Opportunities to worship God
• Bible Study: Digging deeper in God's Word
• Visitors: For tourists and casual visitors
• The Arts: Concerts, musicals, dramatics etc.
• Social, Entertainment & Sport: Relax with others or maybe do something more exerting!
• Social Action: Get involved in making a difference in the community
• Flower Festivals: Traditional displays of faith through flower arrangements
• Harvest: Celebrating God's goodness and provision
• Christmas and Advent: Preparing for, and celebrating the birth of Jesus
• Lent: Lent and Ash Wednesday
• Easter: Celebrating all Jesus has done for us on the Cross
• Pentecost: Celebrating the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church
• Information: Exhibitions and presentations - find out more about a subject or group
• Training: Conferences and courses
• Quiet Days and Reflection: Opportunities for time out with God
• Residential: Events including overnight stay(s)
• Adults: Aimed specifically at adults only
• Senior Citizens: For people aged 60+
• Networking: Bringing people together with a common interest
• Leaders: Aimed at church leaders
• Fresh Expressions: Exploring new ways of being and doing Church
• UK Wide: UK wide events and tours coming to the area
• Church of North India Links: Part of Derbyshire's links with the Church of North India
• Worldwide: Get a global perspective
• Miscellaneous: Events not in any other category

All contributions are subject to editorial discretion, including choice of categories. Please note we cannot list events that are purely aimed at your own congregation, that is mainly of interest, or of a nature that many congregations run (e.g. coffee mornings or fayres), otherwise we'd be overrun with hundreds of events! Regular services are listed in the Find a Church section.

There is currently no charge for this servcice, although contributions are always welcome to help ensure the ongoing work of the site and other activities of Derby Church Net. Please contact us, or by post or telephone.
